Remembering Rock: February 2021

Ministry Update:

Six more weeks of winter! That was Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction for our general weather forecast in February and March. While many are awaiting warmer temperatures–we are excited for the snow. Winter Fun Nights have provided outdoor spaces for family and friends to gather and enjoy time together, and the tubing conditions have been perfect for our retreats on weekends.
Our winter has been different than anticipated–but the mission remains the same–providing opportunities to experience Truth, Community & Change through Jesus Christ. We are thankful for every chance we have to do so, and for the way God continues to use time at camp to impact students, families, leaders and churches as they follow Him.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for God to work during the youth retreats & events happening at camp in February.
  • Continue to pray for protection for guests, campers and staff from the impacts of Covid-19, and for the continued financial challenges the pandemic has created.
  • Pray with us for our summer ministry season ahead; we are building our staff team and praying for our guests and campers preparing and praying for the opportunity to come to camp this year!

Praises:

  • We are thankful for the privilege of providing a space for students and leaders to gather, build relationships and for the way God uses these weekends to change lives. Though very little is normal, the time away at camp has proven to be an impactful and essential experience as we continue to navigate the pressures of the pandemic.
  • Praise the Lord with us for our staff and volunteers that make such a huge difference in our ministry. We are thankful for those who pray for the ministry, and give of their time to make camp happen.
  • We are thankful for the “little things” in this unique ministry season; such as  opportunities to serve groups off-site, time to paint and make improvements to our facilities, and the ability to reflect on new ways to serve in 2021.

How Did You See God Work at Camp?

Again, from our Pastors, leadership and church, we are so THANKFUL to you and your staff for your love, passion, dedication, service and for making this once again a memorable experience.  Furthermore, we are certain the Holy Spirit touched and marked the lives of each attendee and their lives will never be the same.  We took so much from this year’s camp!
