A Note from Rock Mountain | January 24

Greetings from the Mountain!

I want to update you about some staff changes in the year ahead. Two of our full-time staff will be wrapping up their ministry here as they pursue new opportunities in 2023. I am so grateful for the F.U.S.E.D. ministry each of these individuals has faithfully provided to the campers, guests, and staff at Rock Mountain.

Bekah Costley has been our Head Cook since 2021, and she has been on year-round, full-time staff as an Assistant Cook/Housekeeper since 2016. She first joined the seasonal staff team at Rock Mountain in 2007 on Service Staff. It has been a pleasure to serve the Lord together with Bekah the last 16 years. She will complete her commitment at Rock Mountain in May.

“Rock Mountain Bible Camp has been a second home to me for over half my life now. I will never forget how many ways everyone here has encouraged and blessed me, while helping me to grow and serve others over the years.” ~ Bekah

We will miss Bekah’s wit, her reliability, and her talent for crafting delicious meals as she pursues her writing career. Please join me in praying that God will guide and bless her as she takes this next step of faith.

Michael Measley has been our Maintenance Assistant since 2021. He joined our seasonal staff team in 2018, serving in Service, Counseling, and Program roles. His passion for the Lord and relational ministry is evident in the way he serves and uses every opportunity to build relationships that point to Jesus. He will wrap up his time as our Maintenance Assistant in April as he prepares to enroll in Bible College in the fall to pursue a Youth/Pastoral Ministry degree.

“My time at Rock Mountain has been an amazing opportunity for growth both physically and spiritually. I am incredibly grateful that the Lord led me to this camp and that I was able to serve with so many awesome people. Thank you to all the full time, leadership, program, counselors, and service staff who have had a positive impact on my life. I will be leaving full-time staff to pursue a college education, in order to prepare to be a youth pastor. I am excited to continue going where the Lord leads me.” ~ Michael

Michael On Zipline

We will miss Michael’s joyful presence at RMBC. I am excited to see the Lord use him for His glory as he proclaims the gospel and makes disciples in the years ahead. Pray for God to guide Michael in selecting the right school to equip him for a lifetime of ministry.

Both of these staff members have fulfilled vital roles at camp, and while we cannot replace them, we do need the next Maintenance Assistant and Food Service Manager to join our team. Are you, or someone you know, willing to serve?  Check out https://www.rockmountainbiblecamp.org/join-our-team/  to see a Ministry Description and/or to complete an application.

See you at camp!
