Remembering Rock: October 2021

Unnamed (9)

Ministry Update:

Fall has arrived at Rock Mountain, and with it a busy month of ministry. The beauty of camp in the Fall, as the leaves change, and the air becomes crisp is the perfect background to retreats and weekends spent pointing youth and families to the gospel. The evidence of the glory of God as seen in creation is clear, and as Paul says in Romans, evidences His eternal power and divine nature.
We are excited for what God will do in the lives of campers this month–with guest groups, our own Fall Overnighter, and the final days of the family campground for 2021. Thanks for your prayerful support of the ministry of camp, and the way God uses this place to bring people to Himself.

Prayer Requests:

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for RMBC Fall Overnighters, First Ukrainian Baptist Church, Fairview Village, and Heritage Church all holding retreats at Rock Mountain this month.
  • Pray for opportunities to serve new & returning groups during the winter retreat season.
  •  Pray that our new Fall Fun Nights would provide great opportunities for fellowship and connection with our local community.

Praises:

  • We are grateful for two new-to-us golf carts; helping us navigate and serve more efficiently on our 200+ acres.
  • We are excited for many opportunities to “bring camp to you” through lasertag events on the calendar this month!
  • We are thankful to have new full-time staff member, Michael Measley join our team in the role of Maintenance Assistant, and the servant-hearted ministry to guests, campers and staff he brings to that position.
