Condolences and A Prayer for the Thatcher Family
On Saturday, August 29th a motor vehicle accident claimed the lives of the Thatcher family on our camp property.
Their immediate family, our campground community, and the camp staff are grieving the tragic loss of these precious souls. We are lifting the family and friends of the Thatchers to God in prayer during this difficult time.
We are grateful to the guests who truly were “Good Samaritans” and our Rock Mountain staff who immediately responded to the scene, activated EMS, and helped as best as they could until EMS arrived.
We are grateful for the fast and professional response of the Harford Volunteer Fire Company, Thompson Hose Company, New Milford Columbia Hose Company, Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company, Pennsylvania State Police, Susquehanna County Coroner’s Office, and many others who assisted with the response and recovery effort.
We appreciate the prayer, support, and well-wishes from our larger camp, church, and local communities.
May the Lord be pleased by the outpouring of love for the Thatchers, and may Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:20 bring us hope: “I am with you always”.
