Terri and I want to tell you a little about the last four months and how excited we are to be moving back to be part of the ministry at Rock Mountain Bible Camp. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, so it is very difficult to summarize all He has done in this short letter, but we want to share a bit of what God did in our lives during our time away.
Someone asked me recently if leaving camp and moving to Virginia was considered a mistake, since we were just going to move back five months later? My reply was this: “Terri and I are still convinced that God wanted us away from camp and doing something else for that time, and we truly believe that it was meant to be exactly as it happened. So much has happened in our hearts and lives that honestly, it seems like we have been gone much longer than just a short four months.”
While in Charlottesville I received excellent care for my back and hip; resolving much of the physical pain I was experiencing that had such a significant impact on my service at camp. While there were many difficult days in the beginning, Terri & I have had a wonderful time of both physical and spiritual renewal. We were blessed with many connections with a local church, and sweet friendships made. We also got to live in a beautiful place as God revealed Himself and His will for our lives. Through much prayer, the clarity of mind that comes with physical healing and rest, and perspective from time away, the desire to again be a part of the ministry at RMBC became apparent, and we are thrilled that God provided the opportunity to serve again at camp.
As we return home, we feel refreshed and more excited than when we started at Rock in 2004. We look forward to connecting with people in all aspects of the ministry and seeing how God will work in our lives and the lives of others.
By the time you receive this I will be in the office. If you would like to hear more about our story we would love to share it with you, and bring glory to God through it. Stop by camp or give us a call.
In His Service,
“My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.” Psalm 71:8
